Workshop Details

What You’ll Learn

Participants will hear updates on erosion and sediment control regulations and programs, review design, BMP, inspection, and field considerations, and learn from applied case studies and current NC State research. Afternoon field demonstrations provide hands-on examples of treatment and control practices, including flocculation systems, sediment basin components, turbidity control, track-out reduction, and emerging technologies.

• Examine design, BMP selection, inspection, and field troubleshooting approaches.
• Learn from applied case studies and current research relevant to construction site erosion and sediment control.
• See field demonstrations of sediment and turbidity control practices, including flocculation, basin components, track-out control, and other emerging approaches.

Who Should Attend

Regulators, engineers, designers, inspectors, contractors, consultants, municipal and agency staff, erosion and sediment control professionals, and others involved in construction site runoff, sediment, and water quality management.

Workshop Format

A full-day, in-person workshop combining approximately four hours of indoor technical sessions with three hours of field demonstrations. A half-day virtual option is available for the morning indoor sessions only.

Professional Education Credit

Full Day In-person: 6.25 hours
Virtual Morning Only: 3.25 hours

Certificates of attendance will be distributed at the field site for in-person participants. Virtual participants will receive certificates of attendance by email within two weeks of the workshop. Credit may be self-claimed by:
