What You’ll Learn
Participants will learn to:
- Apply core erosion and sediment control principles and select appropriate BMPs for site conditions.
- Explain how soil properties and particle behavior influence turbidity and flocculation.
- Understand key chemical properties, benefits, and limitations of polyacrylamide (PAM).
- Compare passive and active PAM dosing approaches for construction site treatment.
- Evaluate treated and untreated samples and interpret turbidity response.
- Test soils and sediments to identify effective treatment products and dosage rates.
- Relate treatment performance to BMP selection, design, and project costs.
